The Bewick & Mack Show
The new dynamic Comedy TV SITCOM “Bewick and Mack” is a family based series about a middle class Black family who lives on Bewick Street off of Mack Avenue, known to be the notorious intersection of the Detroit eastside. The Kearney’s have been community residents for nearly five decades sharing a two unit family home. The sitcom depicts the family’s day-to-day reactions to everyday circumstances that life may bring. Despite whatever situation may come, the family remains strong; supportive and committed to each other, illustrating the power of love that overcomes any obstacles when family sticks together. The show also highlights the residential activities that take place at the intersection of Bewick and Mack where “Toosweet” the homeless lady lives. Toosweet often interacts with family members, adopting them to be one of her own.
The show is designed to bring entertainment and enlightenment, always striving for both humor and humanity, with comedy that reflects reality. The series highlights family values, structure, truth and humor.
Family members who live in the top unit of the home are: “Sister T” a retired exotic dancer who now owns the neighborhood Exotic Dance Club. She is the elder sister to (Uncle Gracey; the mother of LaVell and auntie to Kearney and Jeff auntie). “Uncle Gracey” is a retired history teacher who faithfully carries around his decease wife ashes in a memorabilia locket, claiming to still be devoted after twenty years. (Uncle Gracey is the brother of Sister T and uncle to LaVell; Kearney; Jeff and Howard)
“Kearney” currently dates
“Howard” is the youngest member in the family, and has been diagnosed to be bi-polar, schizophrenic and gay. He hardly ever can keep a job due to his mental condition, which he fills has forced him to learn the ways of and con artist. (Howard is the son of Ms. Kearney; nephew to Uncle Gracey, Sister; LaVell and Jeff)
